Author Bio
Renate Blumenfeld-Kosinski is an Associate Professor in the Department of French and Italian at the University of Pittsburgh. She is the author of Not of Woman Born: Representations of Caesarean Birth in Medieval and Renaissance Culture; The Writings of Margaret Oingt, Medieval Prioress and Mystic; and Reading Myth: Classical Mythology and Its Interpretations in Medieval French Literature. Kevin Brownlee is Professor of Romance Languages at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of Discourses of the Self: Autobiography and Literary Models in Christine de Pizan and Poetic Identity in Guillaume de Machaut. His edited works include Rethinking the Romance of the Rose ; Text, Image, Reception; The New Medievalism; and Discourses of Authority in Medieval and Renaissance Literature.
