Eating with the Angels

by SarahKateLynch (Author)

Synopsis

Connie Farrell, a New York restaurant critic, is sitting in a first class seat on her way to Venice for the second honeymoon of a lifetime. There's only one problem - Tom, her high school sweetheart and husband of ten years, is not sitting next to her. The seat is empty. But Connie does not immediately lose her appetite for pleasure. Arriving in Venice she meets Marco, a handsome gondolier who sates her with every kind of mouth-watering delicacy...But all is not quite as it seems, and back in New York Connie is dealt the cruellest blow imaginable. Suddenly, there's nothing on the menu but heartache and sorrow, and no amount of delectable cooking will make up for the desperate situation which she faces. A novel about food, about second chances, about parents and children, about New York and Venice, and about love, more delicious than any four star meal...

Author Bio
Sarah-Kate Lynch has been a journalist for more than twenty years (she started, she claims, when she was seven) but far prefers making things up to trying hard not to. Her first novel, Blessed Are the Cheesemakers, is published by Black Swan. She hopes one day to say in this bit of the book that she spends her time between her homes in Auckland, Dublin and New York. At this stage, however, she only has one home and that is in Auckland. In Dublin and New York she sponges off her friends like anyone else.
