Jesus of the Apocalypse: The Life of Jesus After the Crucifixion

Jesus of the Apocalypse: The Life of Jesus After the Crucifixion

by Barbara Thiering (Author)

Synopsis

The sequel to "Jesus the Man". Based on a study of the Dead Sea Scrolls which offers an interpretation of the life of Jesus, this book argues that Jesus was no solitary preacher, but was a central figure in a major political movement to overthrow the pagan Roman Empire. Thiering presents an historical account of the life of Jesus in which he did not die on the cross, but survived the crucifixion, married Mary Magdalen and had children who took an important role in the evolution of the new underground religion that was developing out of Judaism.
