"Polly's Puffin" is an illustrated book telling the story of a young girl, Polly, and her toy puffin. While out shopping with her mother, Polly loses the puffin when her baby brother throws it into the hood of a man's duffle-coat. A hectic chase ensues until the toy is eventually found. Sarah Garland studied graphic design and illustration at the London College of Printing and at St Martin's School of Art. She has regularly contributed illustrations to "The Daily Telegraph". Her books include "Coming to Tea", "Doing the Washing", "Going Shopping" and "Having a Picnic".
