Author Bio

Sandra Cable is the author and co-author of numerous books with Course Technology. Her books include both introductory and advanced levels of Microsoft Excel and Access. The author holds a doctorate in Education from Texas A&M University - Commerce. In addition to working full-time for an international corporation in Dallas, TX, she volunteers to teach at seminars and in classrooms promoting simple approaches to using computer applications. Steven M. Freund attended the University of Central Florida and serves as a leader instructor of various Microsoft Office, computer concepts, programming, and Internet technology courses throughout Central Florida. An integral author for the successful Shelly Cashman Series since 2001, he has presented at the annual customer conference, the Shelly Cashman Series Institute, as well as other customer events. Mr. Freund has co-authored multiple editions of DISCOVERING COMPUTERS, Mozilla Firefox, Windows Internet Explorer, Windows, Office, and Dreamweaver books. He has also written numerous successful instructor supplements. Ellen F. Monk has been teaching Information Systems at the Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware since 1989. Prior to her teaching career, Dr. Monk worked as a chemical engineer for Engelhard Industries and W. R. Grace and Co.'s Davison Chemical Division. She has a B.S. degree in chemical engineering, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in MIS. Susan L. Sebok is a retired professor at South Suburban College in South Holland, Illinois. She is also a licensed attorney. Ms. Sebok has co-authored several successful textbooks for the leading Shelly Cashman Series, including multiple versions of Microsoft PowerPoint and DISCOVERING COMPUTERS. Joy L. Starks is a Professor of Computer and Information Technology at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. She has written chapters in several of the Shelly Cashman Series Office books and authored the Photoshop, Java Programming, and Microsoft Publisher series of books. As well as speaking engagements, she also hosts the nationally-renowned Tech Camp for Teachers on the IUPUI campus each summer.
