Media Reviews
A collection of short stories that aren't as gruesome as his television work might lead us to expect, but tick all the right boxes for macabre, surreal fiction. From the supernatural to the just plain odd, these vignettes are imaginative, diverting and never less than entertaining. A deserved reissue for twelve unsettling tales * HERALD *
There's the flatmate born to save all mankind, a mysterious tale of tidal behaviour and an old man disclosing the dark secret of the Underground. As surreal as you'd expect * DAILY EXPRESS *
Admirable . . . it reflects a boldness that's rarely seen among Dyson's confreres - a willingness to dream * GUARDIAN *
A striking debut. His stories nestle in the little vacant chink between Roald Dahl and Borges * OBSERVER *
