Mad Dogs and English Women

Mad Dogs and English Women

by PeteDavies (Author)

Synopsis

For traditionalists, a woman's role in cricket is to bake the fairy cakes and cut the crusts off of the cucumber sandwiches. In fact, it was a woman who invented overarm bowling (her skirt got in the way of underarm bowling) and W.G. Grace was coached by his mother. Unlike their less successful male counterparts, the England Women's team are world champions. Pete Davies joins them on their 1997 tour of India as they defend their title against their major rivals, plus teams from countries rarely associated with cricket - Japan for example.
