Media Reviews
'A non-squeamish compendium of useful stuff.' -- The Times '... straightforward, no hold-barred, non-preachy advice on everything from how to treat girls to how to say no to drugs, and the book's written and presented in a cool, no-nonsense style that the Dawson's Creek generation identify with.' -- Ladies First 'Arms teenage boys with the correct information in order for them to feel confident in the choices they make' -- Parents' News 'While there are many books like this for teenage girls ... self-help books for boys are rarer, so this is a welcome edition.' -- Writing Magazine 'Answers all the questions boys are dying to ask. There have been many books like this for girls but this has everything that is cool for boys' -- The Bookseller 'very useful handbook[s] for boys, but also good for parents and girls too.' -- Daily Record, Glasgow 'XY ... comes as a relief. The agony uncle and health writer has written a sensible book - discussing sex and sexuality, drink and drugs, dealing with friends, girlfriends and family - in a way that's both informative and appealing to teenagers.' -- Woman 'a friendly and down-to-earth compendium of basic common sense. It doesn't preach, it isn't squeamish, and it covers a wide range of issues.' -- Jill Murphy, The Bookbag Frank, balanced information on subjects of vital interest to boys. -- Mail On Sunday 20101128
