Synopsis

One snowy night, in a great big city, a strange thing happens. The moon falls from the sky and lands on top of a very tall building. And no matter what the people in the neighbourhood do, the moon will not rise. That night, a young boy named Ata decides to sit with the moon to keep it company. In return, the moon tells him why he doesn't want to go home. "It is so dark up there," the moon says. "It makes me feel lonely." Ata tries again and again to make the moon shine, but nothing works. Until Ata has a great idea It's a simple and inspirational story, well told and beautifully illustrated. Most of all though it shows that one small boy, in having the courage to try, can achieve something wonderful.
