Media Reviews
Are you feeling brave? This is not just one screamingly scary story but 10 totally terrifying tales. Each story is a few pages long - perfect for getting REALLY frightened before bedtime or ideal for reading at a Halloween party and becoming perfectly petrified. There's the story of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (which will curl your toes up) or By The Fireside (which will make your hair stand on end) or A Bedtime Tale (which will make you shiver in your slippers). There's a good mix of old ghostly stories re-told and brand new spooky tales. These aren't tales for the faint-hearted. But they are brilliantly written and illustrated with cool and colourful drawings. -- CBBC Newsround The book itself has some classic and contemporary ghost stories, each of them good enough to stand-alone. Dust 'n Bones provides a wonderful introduction - each of the stories are no more than about 10 pages in length - to the immensely popular category of ghost stories. Don't forget kids are braver than adults so will handle the fear much better! -- LoveReading4kids.co.uk Exceptionally high production values, an astounding level of attention to detail ... marvellous anthology by the master of the macabre. A perfect book to read during long, cold, dark evenings... -- Achuka A super spine-tingling book... Great for imaginative children who enjoy being scared! -- Family Interet Mag Chris Mould is a talented illustrator and it is the illustrations that are the great strength of this book. -- School Librarian
