Author Bio
Moira is highly-acclaimed artist with a growing reputation. She studied History at Oxford, but discovered that reading children's books and illustrating them was much more intersting than reading history books and writing essays! She then went on to do a Foundation Course at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts. She has had 33 books published and together they have sold over 5.5 million copies. Grandma Chickenlegs was published to great acclaim in the trade and was shortlisted for the Blue Peter book awards in the UK and Best Picture Book Independent Publsiher Book Awards in the US. Her favourite illustrator is Tove Jansson and the Moomintroll books. She used to argue with her brother about whether Moomins were better than Hobbits. They were and they are, she says!
