Synopsis

Science Scope: Biology is one of three books in a series of science texts for teachers who teach 11-14 science as three separate subject disciplines. The books are aimed broadly at middle-ability students, with the core material at National Curriculum Levels 5/6, but contain all the material needed for pupils to reach the highest levels. This higher-level text is separated out from the body of the text in boxes, so that teachers can ensure that for their average-ability pupils, they are teaching no more than they need to teach. Author Bio
Mark Winterbottom is former Head of Biology at King Edward VI School in Bury St Edmunds, and now a science education lecturer at Homerton College, Cambridge. Ceri Jones is Head of Biology and Key Stage 3 Co-ordinator for Science at Bryntawe Comprehensive in Swansea.
