Author Bio
Walter Farley was born in New York in 1920. After serving in the US Army, and working for Yank magazine, Farley put pen to paper and wrote the first of what was to be a 12-book adventure series about a powerful and unpredictable Arabian black stallion and his friendship with one boy, Alec Ramsay. Walter Farley wrote a total of 24 adventure stories involving horses. He died in 1989, leaving four children.
