Media Reviews
'Nothing is what it seems in this gripping, insightful novel... Jemima Hunt writes like Joanna Trollope with John Grisham's balls' - Mirror; 'Gripping and swiftly moving... an acutely observed study of obsession' - Harpers & Queen; 'Jemima Hunt has piercing skills of observation and an unabashed disceming style' - Guardian; 'Jemima Hunt's otherwise intelligent and resourceful protagonist Elinor gives herself away to the kind of in-love excess we have all been taught to desire for its vital passion, while simultaneously fearing for the necessary sublimation of self. By feeding in the undercurrent of a stalker's increasingly nasty fixation on Elinor herself, Hunt has created an intimate dissection of obsession and self-delusion.' - Stella Duffy; 'An intriguing look at the line between passion and obsession' - OK Magazine; 'Riotous and effervescent on the surface - darker and more complex beneath - and written with great verve and humour. A hugely enjoyable read' - Patrick McGrath on Notes from Utopia; 'A smart and sexy New York story' - Vogue on Notes from Utopia; 'Merges all the best elements of Sex and the City and Julie Burchill's Ambition, but adds some bitter sweetness. It's top reading, frothy and sad at the same time, easy-going but infinitely touching' - Minx on Notes from Utopia 'Great stuff' - Company
