All the Lonely People

All the Lonely People

by Martin Edwards (Author)

Synopsis

Down-at-heel Liverpool solicitor Harry Devlin is still infatuated with his wife Liz, even though she has left him for another man. When Liz shows up at his flat, obviously frightened, Harry is only too pleased to offer shelter. But any hopes he has for reconciliation are dashed when Liz fails to meet him as planned next day. And when her corpse is discovered in a lonely alleyway, Harry's disciplined life is turned upside-down. He becomes the number one suspect. Harry's search for the truth takes him into the city's sinister underbelly of shady streets and sleazy clubs, where he confronts an obsessive killer - and has his illusions about Liz shattered forever.

Media Reviews
'Martin Edwards writes terrific crime novels about Harry Devlin ...with bruised emotions, a nice line in self-deprecation and penchant for Mersey low-life' -- Marcel Berlins, Guardian 'Mr Edwards' quietly effective mysteries are a pleasure to encounter' -- New Law Journal 'Harry is a likeable man with a wry sense of humour ... Good entertainment with no unnecessary frills' -- Susanna Yager, Sunday Telegraph 'The chameleon city of Liverpool has provided a dramatic background for Edwards' Harry Devlin novels, revealing itsefl in all its seediness and splendour' -- Val McDermid, Manchester Evening News
