Swimming Sweet Arrow

Swimming Sweet Arrow

by Maureen Gibbon (Author)

Synopsis

Best friends since the days when they used to skip school to go swimming in Sweet Arrow Lake, at 18 Evangeline - Vangie - Starr and June Keel are girls out to have fun. And that means dope, booze and sex with their boyfriends Del and Ray, ideally in the same car. After leaving school, they take the sort of dead-end jobs that are all rural Pennsylvania offers, Vangie sets up home with Del and June moves in with Ray and his brother. But while Vangie begins to realise there's more to life than sex with Del, especially when he turns violent, she sees June in danger of losing herself in the small town life they'd sworn to escape and set on a course fated to end in tragedy.
