Synopsis

When Della Thomson arrives to stay with twelve-year old Fran on the island of Broray for a week , Fran is full of hope and expectation. But, Della is a surly and unsociable girl from Glasgow, dressed from head to foot in intimidating black. Author Bio
Born in South London, Alison Prince now lives on the Isle of Arran in Scotland. She has three grown up children and, on the rare occasion when she's not writing, enjoys playing the clarinet, walking and reading. She travels a lot, mostly to schools in Scotland to talk to children. Her first book was published in 1972 and more than 30 books have been published (including some adult) since. Dear Del is her third book for Hodder Children's Books.
