There's An Alien In My Classroom!: 3 (My Alien Classmate)

There's An Alien In My Classroom!: 3 (My Alien Classmate)

by Bruce Coville (Author)

Synopsis

When the first Ambassador to Earth sends his son, Pleskit, to a state school, the young alien has to deal with all the same things new kids in school have to cope with (he doesn't fit in, his father is a dork, no one understands him) only on a much grander scale. This is the first of twelve stories told by both Pleskit and his classmate, Tim, as Pleskit makes friends and enemies, meets girls for the first time, gets a bad report card, deals with prejudice and uses his superior knowledge to shrink the teacher. Told in the inimitable Coville way, with slapstick, humour and (just once or twice!) a little bit of insight into the human condition, these are a must for all Coville fans.

MY ALIEN CLASSMATE is out of this world! I love the story, I love the characters, I love the humour. I recommend this book to everyone who has sometimes felt that he or she did not fit in. * Paula Danziger *
Author Bio
Bruce Coville was born in Syracuse in 1950. He first became interested in writing when he was in the sixth grade, and started writing seriously at the age of 17. He married in 1969, aged 19, and started collaborating on books with his wife, Katherine Dietz, an artist. They have three children. Although he had many other jobs along the way, including gravedigger (!), he finally stuck with teaching until his first book was published in 1977. Bruce has published over sixty books since then and now has more than 12 million copies in print. Bruce has a lifelong interest in aliens and certainly believes in their existence. He says: Absolutely there's life out there. I think it's less likely we'll find something than something else will find us. The question is whether they'll want to talk to us or not! .
