Author Bio
Born and brought up in Leicester, Lou Wakefield is a writer, director and actor. She played the original Janet in the Rocky Horror Show at the Kings Road Theatre in the mid-1970s; for many years she played Jackie Woodstock in The Archers; TV appearances include Morse, The Bill and Casualty. She has directed Coronation Street and Brookside among others. Currently she has a new series in development, Baggage, for the Wall to Wall TV production company, and she co-writes the highly successful Ladies of Letters, which is now in its third series on Radio 4, starring Prunella Scales and Patricia Routledge.
