Media Reviews
Martin Edwards writes terrific crime novels about Harry Devlin . . . With bruised emotions, a nice line in self-deprecation and a penchant for Mersey low-life - Marcel Berlins, Guardian

With his acerbic observation, his complex, platonic affairs and his paper-bound legal aid practice, Devlin is the perfect character to make probate law into suitable material for a thriller - Law Society Gazette

In an overcrowded market, Mr Edwards' quietly effective mysteries stand out and are a pleasure to encounter - John Welcome, New Law Journal

Harry is a likeable man with a wry sense of humour . . . Good entertainment with no unnecessary frills - Sunday Telegraph

The chameleon city of Liverpool has provided a dramatic background for Edwards' Harry Devlin novels, revealing itself in all its seediness and splendour - Val McDermid, Manchester Evening News
