  This text is the first in the Hodder Mathematics series, aimed at GCSE mathematics students. For students there are two text books (one for each of Years 10 and 11) for each examination tier (Foundation, Intermediate and Higher), plus an FE text book for students completing their GCSE year; for teachers there is a Teachers' Resource for each of the Foundation, Intermediate and Higher tiers. Foundation 2 is in full colour and is written on double page spreads: the teaching material is on the left-hand pages and practice questions and activities are on the right-hand pages. The maths is conveyed through real-life applications and contexts. At the end of each chapter there is a summary of key points and a mixed exercise.
