  This work provides first-year BTEC students with a useful introduction to the structuring and design of software. Coverage is based on elements of the BTEC bank of objectives software design methods N, normally covered in the first year of an Electronic Engineering Nationals scheme. The book is, however, equally suitable for introduction to programming N, programming concepts or programming practice taken by IT and computing students at Nationals level. Emphasis is placed on learning by example, encouraging students to write their own programs, while self-assessment questions with answers and a list of key concepts are included at the end of each chapter.
