The Five Silent Years of Corrie ten Boom

The Five Silent Years of Corrie ten Boom

by PamelaRosewell (Author)

Synopsis

This story tells of the last years of Corrie ten Boom's life, told by Pamela Rosewell, her constant companion from 1976 to Corrie's death in 1983. The book describes the energy and loving dedication which marked the final years of Corrie's active ministry - including a gruelling 7-month tour though Switzerland to the United States. Eventually she settled in California to continue to minister to all who came. The author looks at the joy and pain of those final years and marvels at the practical love and concern Corrie inspired in others when repeated strokes made communication hard and rendered her totally immobile. The book is being re-issued alongside Corrie ten Boom's In My Father's House to commemorate the centenary of her birth. Corrie ten Boom is well known for her book The Hiding Place , which tells the story of how her family hid Jews during the Nazi occupation of Holland. Pamela Rosewall is also the author of Safer Than a Known Way .
