Mary Jane Kehily is Lecturer in Childhood Studies at the Open University, U.K. She has a background in cultural studies and education and has research interests in childhood and youth particularly in relation to issues of gender and sexuality, narrative and identity, and popular culture. She has published widely on these themes. She is author of Sexuality, Gender and Schooling, shifting agendas in social learning (Routledge/Falmer 2002).
