by Timonthy Gorringe (Author)
This work outlines a theology of the senses, arguing that they are the way in which God explores creation through the creature. As such, they are our pre-eminent means of grace . To make that statement raises questions about disability, the abuse of our senses, and a world increasingly based on consumerism. Gorringe takes up and explores these themes, concluding with an account of the eucharist as a major part in what he calls the education of our desire . The book is based on the John Albert Hall Lectures for 2000 given at the University of Victoria, British Columbia.
