JOERG DUERRSCHMIDT is Lecturer of Sociology at Kassel University, Germany. His previous publications include Everyday Lives in the Global City: The Delinking of Locale and Milieu (2000) and Globalisierung (2002).

GRAHAM TAYLOR is Senior Lecturer of Sociology at the University of the West of England, UK. His previous publications include State, Regulation and the Politics of Human Service: The Case of the Water Industry (1999) and Money and the Human Condition (co-authored by Michael Neary) (1998).
