The Immunoassay Handbook

by David Wild (Editor)

Synopsis

Immunoassay Handbook second edition is a resource for anyone working in clinical chemistry and biochemistry. The book outlines the underlying principles that underpin Immunoassay, describes and evaluates the major diagnostic products available on the market, provides extensive guide to laboratory management and troubleshooting, and assesses in detail the practical, clinical application of Immunoassay technology. The second edition is almost completely rewritten, with new and extended chapters in all areas. The products section now contains feedback about diagnostic machinery, and allows comparison between systems. There are additional chapters on laboratory management. In full, the book contains detailed information about the clinical applications and limitation of assay technology for over 350 analytes. It acts as an introduction, analysis and evaluation of the clinical and technical trends in the immunoassay market, benefiting both laboratory researchers, managers, marketeers and analysts. With almost 90 contributing authors, the book offers an international analysis of the key aspects of the contemporary fields of immunoassay.
