Author Bio
KEVIN HAINES is Lecturer in Applied Social Studies at the University of Wales, Swansea, where he is responsible for teaching about youth justice and criminal justice management. He has a longstanding interest in youth justice and is a member of the committee of the National Association for Youth Justice. He is the author of Understanding Modern Juvenile Justice.

MARK DRAKEFORD is a lecturer in the School of Social and Administrative Studies, University of Wales, Cardiff, where he has particular interests in social welfare systems and young people. He has been a practitioner in the Juvenile and Youth Court systems in Wales and England for more than twenty years, having worked in the probation service and in intermediate treatment.
