  There is an increasing need for assessors of vocational qualifications who are trained, competent and qualified to national standards. The Assessor Workbook is centred on two units of these national standards - the D32 (Assess candidate performance) and D33 (Assess candidate using differing sources of evidence) units of the Training and Development Lead Body standards. These two units form the basis of assessor qualifications of City and Guilds and other awarding bodies such as RSA and BTEC. The book gives basic information and guidance on what is involved in being an assessor, from planning the assessments, judging evidence and observing performance to questioning candidates, giving feedback and record-keeping.
