Author Bio
Penelope Lively was born in Cairo in 1933, moving to England at age 12 and eventually reading English at Oxford. She first achieved success with her children's book Astercote in 1970. Two of her novels, The Road to Lichfield and According to Mark were shortlisted for the Booker Prize, and eventually Moon Tiger won the prize in 1987. She now lives in England.
