Synopsis

A beautiful paperback edition of Valerie Bloom's distinctively lyrical poems, which sparkle with exuberance and wit. Bursting with carnival queens, lyrebirds and whooping boys, this is a glorious collection. Prepare to be dazzled!

Praise for Valerie Bloom:

`She is a mighty performer of her poems on stage, but she is first and foremost a writer, and her poems on the page are a tribute to her skill. Enjoy the Party she says [in Let Me Touch the Sky]. I did' Roger McGough, Carousel

`Valerie Bloom has that magic touch which . . . can make the strange familiar and the familiar strange' John Mole, TES

'Let Me Touch the Sky contains some performance poems of rare and exceptional quality . . . If we had a multicultural Children's Laureate, I would nominate her' Peter Hollindale, Signal
