Author Bio
Charles Causley is one of our most distinguished living poets. His Jack the Treacle Eater won the Kurt Maschler Award, and Early in the Morning won the Signal Poetry Award. He has been given the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry, and the CBE for his services to poetry. He has recently been made a Companion of Literature, which is awarded by the Royal Society of Literature. He still lives in his native Cornwall and his poems are laced with strong links to the Cornish people and folklore.
