  This text traces the development of land transport periods of history: Greeks and Romans; Vikings and Invaders; Tudors and Stuarts; Victorians; 1930 onwards and World War II. As with other Learn Togethers there is a mixture of on- and off-page-activity, with three spreads devoted to each period of time.
