Hank Wangford: The Middle Years v.3

Hank Wangford: The Middle Years v.3

by HankWangford (Author)

Synopsis

Hank Wangford has written about the two sides to his life: as two separate men who share dental profiles and a love for the passion in Hard Country music. Hank Wangord is the renegade Godfather of the British Country and Western scene and Dr Hutt is the obstetrician, the quack and the snake oil salesman. In this volume, the good doctor describes his meeting with the late Gram Parsons and his conversion to country music. He recreates Hank's career from their first encounter in 1971 in Vancouver when Hank was leading an Indian Country and Western band, through to the Wangford bands back in England, early days in Suffolk and hard times on the hard nosed Country and Western circuit. From shootouts with cowboys in caravan parks, to Marxist-Leninist Country and Western fans. The doc talks of his own medical career alongside his closer and closer involvement with the Wangford bands.
