Book Overview:

ASP.NET has been the most successful part of .NET, and is being widely used. Microsoft is not resting on their laurels, however. The next version of ASP.NET is going to have some big changes making it both more powerful and easier to use. This book will publish day and date with the release of the public beta of ASP.NET 2.0. The previous edition, A First Look at ASP.NET v.2.0, 0321228960, was the best selling book at Microsoft's Professional Developer Conference in 2003. Because that version was on an alpha version of the software with only limited distribution, we expect this edition to sell even better. There may be other books released on the beta, but no other authors will have had the close cooperation with the ASP.NET team that Homer, Sussman, and Howard have had. The ASP.NET team have promised at least the same level of marketing support for this book as they provided for the previous edition, including a feature on their web site, teasers handed out at conferences, promo copies in their booth at trade shows and events, and features on MSDN.
