Fashion Designers' Gardens

Fashion Designers' Gardens

by Claire De Virieu (Author), Francis Dorleans (Author), Francis Dorleans (Author), Claire De Virieu (Author)

Synopsis

For the last five years the author has been photographing the gardens of some of the world's leading fashion designers. As with the clothes they design, each of their gardens has its own individuality and beauty in terms of planting, landscape and colour. Some of the gardens are in town, others in country homes which range from England, the United States, France, Italy and Morocco. Each of the designers is photographed in their favourite place in the garden, and each tells the story behind their gardens, which in turn is photographed comprehensively. The designers included are: Hubert de Givenchy (Normandy, Cap Ferrat); Bernard Perris (Provence); Hermes (Paris); Oscar de la Renta (Connecticut); Bill Blass (Connecticut); Michel Klein (Provence); Anoushka Hempel (London); Valentino (Tuscany); Giorgio Armani (Pantelleria); Ferragamo; Hardy Amies (Cotswolds); Nicole de Vesian (Provence); Kenzo (Paris); Christian Louboutin (Provence); Yves St Laurent (Marrakech, Deauville); Pierre Berge (Provence); Loulou de la Falaise (France); and John Galliano.
