A Companion to Common Worship: Volume 2 (Alcuin Club Collections)

A Companion to Common Worship: Volume 2 (Alcuin Club Collections)

by Paul Bradshaw (Editor)

Synopsis

The Common Worship process is now complete and this second volume covers all the new material which was not covered in the first. The success of the first volume points to the need for a serious and scholarly commentary on the whole range of Common Worship texts. Included is a historical survey of the origins and development of many of the rites from New Testament times, accompanied by detailed commentary on the rite as a whole, and comparisons with the ASB and recommended titles for further reading.
