  This study looks at passages in the Gospels where there appear to be contradictions or slips, and discusses the various possible explanations, including the author's own preferred ones. It includes chapters on Jesus' birthplace, baptism, temptations and trials, healing and forgiveness, the Lord's Prayer, the feeding of the five thousand, the parables, family values, Lazarus, and the Last Supper, and concludes with a chapter on Gospel truth. The apparent points of conflict are not problems, but opportunities to look beyond the obvious to find the Gospels' spiritual treasure.
