by Lawrence Osborn (Author)
Does the Christian Gospel offer an alternative to secular culture or does it find expression within human cultures? This text argues that the Gospel has to be translated into the language of every culture before it can offer a constructive critique of that culture, leading to transformation and change. It concludes that a key element in commending the Gospel to our contemporary culture will be a practical demonstration of human community in an age of increasing fragmentation and alienation. This text therefore challenges the tendency to look for pious belief and argues for spiritual and social interaction.
