Media Reviews
Review of this edition:

Whether you are a newcomer to Final Cut Pro 4, LiveType and Soundtrack or an experienced Final Cut Pro editor this little book will benefit you hugely. For the newcomer it is so easy to follow and understand and for the professional it will act as a quick refresher course whilst bringing you up to speed on Final Cut Pro 4's new features.

This book will get you off to a flying start, whether you are a professional moving to the Final Cut Pro system, or a complete novice...a must-have book. - Focus magazine

The colour screen shots of the FCP4 interface are a breath of fresh air, many other publishers opt for black & white images to keep the printing costs down and although this benefits the publisher it certainly doesn't benefit the person reading the book who is trying to learn the programme, after all computer screens are colour right? This is just one more carefully thought out plan that the author has got right, well done Rick.

Reviews of previous edition:

The Easy Guide to Final Cut Pro 3 is very much a 'handbook', a 'primer' if you will. Short, clear and to the point. It provides an excellent quick introduction into FCP editing. It will get you up and running on FCP in short order.
Ken Stone (www.kenstone.net), Los Angeles FCP user group

... this book is a must... for the advanced user and novice editor alike.
Peter Hall, Editor of Media 100

Your book is terrific! I've read it from cover to cover and only wished I had bought it before I attempted anything on FCP.
Peter Demetris, television director

It's made Final Cut Pro so much easier
Gary Williams, Video Producer

It's like a bible that sits on top of my G4
George Robertson, Independent filmmaker

I bought a number of books on using Final Cut Pro and found this book to be the clearest, best-written of them all. When I have questions, I always turn to this book first. It's a fairly short book, but it's all great info with very good images.
