Author Bio
Dr Katherine Grainger is Great Britain's finest female rower and the most decorated one, too, with four Olympic Games medals - one gold - and eight World Championship medals (six gold) and seven rowing World Cups. But Katherine is more than just a star on the water, she is highly intelligent, having earned an Honours law degree from Edinburgh University, a Master of Philosophy degree from Glasgow University and, whilst training for the London 2012 Games, completed a PhD at King's College, London. Still undecided about trying to emulate her hero Sir Steve Redgrave and attempting to win a fifth Olympic Games medal at Rio 2016, she is much in demand as a public and motivational speaker.
