Sellers on Sellers

Sellers on Sellers

by Michael Sellers (Author), Gary Morecambe (Author)

Synopsis

Peter Sellers was undoubtedly one of Britain's most outstanding comic actors. His talent for creating outrageous characters was central to the success and hilarity of The Goons. But it was Hollywood that made him a major star, and he will be best remembered for Kubrick's Dr Strangelove and of course, Inspector Clouseau in the long-running Pink Panther films. Sellers on Sellers offers a unique perspective on Peter Sellers as his friends, family and associates (including Kenneth Brannagh, Fiona Fullerton and Denis Norden) pool together their funniest or most pronounced memories of him and in doing so create an intimate and original portrait of a man who was less than perfect, but always entertaining. Central to the book is Michael Seller's highly personal reflections on his father, Peter, providing a rare insight that only a direct family member can provide. Illustrated throughout with rare family photographs, Sellers on Sellers gives a unique insight into Peter Sellers, the private man as well as the star.
