Author Bio

Peter Bently studied languages at Oxford. He lives in the writer-filled town of Totnes with his wife and a perfect ready-made audience of two young children. He enjoys visiting schools and sharing his writing. Inspired by living close to the sea, THE SHARK IN THE DARK is Peter's first picture book for Macmillan.

Ben Cort studied illustration at Harrow College. His first picture book for Macmillan, COLOUR ME HAPPY (978-1-4050-0909-6) was published in 2007, and his work for Campbell Books, including MUDDLE JUNGLE, has enjoyed great success.
