Media Reviews

We may never have a complete account or true understanding of all that was happening in the Atacama desert at the San Jose Mine, but Buried Alive, by celebrated Chilean journalist Manuel Pino Toro, gives us a complete and accurate account of how the story unfolded and just how each of the thirty-three miners played a crucial role in their survival and rescue. Toro reveals how the miracle happened and takes the reader on a journey of amazing discovery and high drama. It's a story we simply can't get enough of, and Toro has a unique perspective as one of Chile's foremost journalists. --from the Foreword by Natalie Morales
