Author Bio
William Mayne was born in Hull and attended the Cathedral Choir School at Canterbury from which he garnered the material for his classic Cathedral books. Since then he has written many novels for children, winning the Carnegie Medal for A Grass Rope. He lives in Yorkshire. Sophy Williams is also known on the RHCB list for Nana's Garden. She is a talented and much sought after young artist who lives in the West Country and has two small children.
