  Since the first edition of this book, the electrophoretic analysis of proteins in polyacrylamide gels has continued to grow in importance as an essential research technique in the life sciences. While some techniques have changed only marginally, many new procedures and applications have arisen in the intervening years. This second edition seeks to reflect these changes.
