Synopsis

This textbook outlines the process of globalization, the global economy, and the impact this has on international business organizations. Using a PESTLE framework, the text analyses the economic, political, legal, financial, technological, socio-cultural and ecological environments, thereby clearly outlining the factors which affect the everyday business of organizations. Author Bio

Leslie Hamilton was a Senior Lecturer in the School of Strategy and International Business, Leeds Metropolitan University until recently retiring (February 2008). He has more than 30 years of teaching experience on a variety of full-time and part-time undergraduate and postgraduate/post experience programmes. At undergraduate level he has taught on courses such as International Business Environment, International Business, Business Management, Public Relations, and Economics for Business. Recently he has taught at the postgraduate level on courses such as the MSc in Finance and the MA in Business Studies.
Philip Webster is a Principal Lecturer and Programme Director for undergraduate courses in Public Relations. He is also a member of the University Academic Board, the Academic Committee, the Resources and Planning Committee and the University Appeals Committee. He was previously the Course Leader for the BA (Hons) in Business Studies and an External Examiner at the University of Hull. He teaches Business Strategy, Business Ethics, and the International Business Environment.
