  A textbook which covers all the experiments recommended for assessment for GCSE Chemistry. The book begins with advice to the teacher on assessment of practical work and relates the skills covered to the requirements of the various examining groups. The experiments themselves are all presented in units of one or two pages, for ease of use in the laboratory. Each experiment begins with an introduction to the chemistry of the topic and practical work is followed up by questions and suggestions for extension work.
