Journey Under The Sea

Journey Under The Sea

by Linda Pitkin (Author)

Synopsis

In Journey under the Sea , we discover a hidden world beneath the waves. Our location is Indonesia, where an amazing diversity of marine life awaits. We explore the breathtaking beauty of the coral reefs, looking at fishes and other animals of every colour of the rainbow. Their behaviour is fascinating; the spiny devilfish is an extraordinary creature who crawls across the sand on 'fingertips' (actually parts of its fins). We dive by day and by night, we go looking for turtles, for octopus...and for sharks! Linda Pitkin is a biologist at the Natural History Museum, where she combines her interest in insects and marine life. Her photography has won many awards, including at the International Underwater Film and Photo Festival, Frankfurt.
