  This book focuses on those aspects of fluid mechanics and hydraulics of particular relevance to water supply and wastewater disposal engineering. It presents an integrated treatment of these topics with an emphasis on application rather than mathematical rigour. The topics covered include steady uniform flow in pipes and channels, flow in pipe manifolds and networks, gradually varied flow, flow measurement structures, unsteady flow in pipes and channels, waterhammer control, and hydraulics of pumping systems.
